Raffle & Prize Draw Formats

GiveWheel offers three raffle and prize draw formats, allowing you to choose the setup that best suits your fundraiser.

Single Prize, Single Pool

The simplest raffle format.

Supporters purchase tickets for a single prize, and when the draw closes, one winner is selected at random from all eligible entries.

Best for: Traditional raffles with one prize.

Multiple Prizes, Single Pool

All supporters enter the same draw pool and are eligible to win any of the prizes available.

Custom images can be added for each prize, and winners are drawn from the same pool until all prizes have been allocated.

Best for: Encouraging participation across a range of prizes while keeping entry simple.

Multiple Prizes, Multiple Pools

Each prize has its own dedicated ticket type and draw pool.

Supporters choose exactly which prize(s) they would like to enter, and only compete against others who have purchased tickets for that specific prize.

Best for: Prize-specific entries where supporters want to choose what they're entering to win.

Additional Features

Bundle Pricing

Offer discounted ticket bundles (for example, 3 entries for the price of 2) to encourage larger purchases, and perfect for the Single Prize, Single Pool, and the Multiple Prizes, Single Pool prize draw set-ups.

For raffles using the Multiple Prizes, Multiple Pools format, bundle pricing applies within each individual ticket type only and cannot be shared across different prize pools.

Automatic Winner Selection

GiveWheel automatically and randomly selects winners using its integrated draw tool.

You can choose whether:

• a supporter is eligible to win multiple prizes, or

• each prize must be awarded to a different winner.

Please note that GiveWheel does not support combining online and offline raffle tickets within the same draw.

Winner Notification

GiveWheel does not automatically notify winners when a draw has been completed.

This allows organisers to generate winners, review the results, and, if required, delete the generated winners and re-run the draw at any time before finalising the outcome. This can be useful for practice draws or where the organiser wishes to repeat the winner selection before announcing the results.

Once the draw has been finalised, it is the organiser's responsibility to contact the winning participants and arrange delivery or collection of their prize(s). Winner contact details, including names and email addresses, can be found under Orders & Entries within the ticket settings for the page.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid cannot be claimed on raffle or prize draw ticket purchases.

However, you can optionally enable separate voluntary donations alongside ticket purchases. These donations do not provide entry into the draw and may be eligible for Gift Aid, subject to the usual HMRC eligibility criteria.
